Engine and Fuel Information

The test engine was a Deutz F6L912W diesel engine, 1977 model year, non-turbocharged, serial number 585101. Rated speed was 2300 rpm and intermediate speed 1550 rpm. Maximum horsepower was 84 hp (63 kW) and maximum torque was 208 lb-ft (310 kg-m). The tests were performed using on-road #2 diesel, certified to <500 ppm sulfur.
